how to outwit ticket scalpers and get great seats cheap

Here is my method to find killer concert tickets very low prices.

I have done this personally, using my own money,

and documented the whole thing on video,

which I'll be posting soon. I attended the sold-out March 22nd

Jonas Brothers concert in Boston. The cheapest tickets in the

weeks before were selling for about $350 online.

I got floor tickets (section 6A) for $49, and gave one away.

You can use this trick for almost any live performance where tickets

are sold online in the secondary market on websites like ebay.

However, I'll show you a site (gruvr tickets) that offers some special

tools to make this strategy really easy.

Here's how it works.

FIRST you should:

1- live fairly close to the concert (within an hour, say)

2-Know where you will park near the concert. Also find out what the opening act is and think about if you really need to see their first song :-)

3-Have a backup plan to do something fun in case you dont get the tickets in time. However your financial risk is limited: most of the vendors will refund 100% if they dont get you the tickets in time.

This plan exploits the fact that scalpers holding live tickets are watching the value of their holdings go to zero as the concert day and time approches!

It's a fairly obvious fact but not well advertised that for concerts where there is an over-supply of tickets for sale, prices drop drastically as the date approaches! So depending on the inventory, you may be better off waiting.

The site tickets.gruvr.com makes this easy, since it has a feature where you can input your desired price and get alerts when prices start dropping, if any match your desired price it will email you!

Look at all the seats for sale in front rows for under $30!!

IMPORTANT: Look for 'emailable' or 'e-tickets' or 'ticketfast' or 'will call' in the descriptions.

DO NOT BUY 'HARD' TICKETS THAT MUST BE MAILED or picked up!

IMPORTANT: Once you pay for tickets,, take a minute to call TicketMaster/TicketsNow at the number listed on the checkout page. You should get a confirmation email, and then etickets within an hour. However, if there are only hours before the show, it's always a good idea to follow up and call to ask how long before the tickets are emailed, after you pay.

THe list below is automatically updated to find opportunities: it automatically detects price reductions for concerts coming up in the next few days.

THeir concerts are consistently sold out and parents get pressured into buying tickets for their kids for $300, $400 each! Basically I'm proving you don't have get taken - and this same method works for almost any concert, as long as there is still inventory listed as the date approaches. Its amazing that not many people seem to know that scalpers often dump tickets cheap at the last minute.

uhhh... why would anyone keep going toa jb concert secret? PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE THEM!!!! if they didn't, their record wouldn't be plantium in like 40 countrys, and no one would come to their concerts. Seeing as how their tickes sell out 90% of the time , it shows they have crazy obsessed fans (like me). and thanks for the advice! :) I'll use it

my daughter and a friend want so badly to go to the Jonas Brothers concert .

they're trying not to be bratty, but i did promise for her birthday.

does this work everytime?

i don't want to get their hopes up by driving down there.

there's no guarantee it will work every time, but you can get a sense for how many tickets are still unsold in the days before a show and sign up for alerts about any price drops.

What shows are nearest to you? I noticed yesterday that there were so many dates scheduled that ticket prices were actually dropping after the initial onsale release. You might want to take a look and see what prices are now.

Theres is no science to the ticket market in Boston you BAFOON! One day you can go to a concert and pay less than face 2 hours before the event. and the next you can go and pay twice face after the show has already begun! I love you idiots that walk around events for hours and hours waiting till the price of tickets falls. Sometimes at least in Boston you dont end up going to the game and your kids or girlfriends and wives walk away with you disapointted! Pay the market cost or just dont go!
